Marc Marquez (Repsol Honda) took his tenth pole of the season with Andrea Dovizioso (Team Ducati) again qualifying on the front row in second place. Third spot went to Jorge Lorenzo (Movistar Yamaha).

 

Top open class qualifier was Aleix Espargaro (NGM Forward Racing Yamaha) who finished in fourth ahead of previous race winner Dani Pedrosa (Repsol Honda) in fifth spot with Valentino Rossi (Movistar Yamaha) in sixth.

Johann Zarco (AirtAsia Caterham Suter) took his and his team’s first ever Moto2 pole position finishing ahead of Mika Kallio (Marc VDS Racing Team Kalex) in second with Simone Corsi (NGM Forward Racing team Kalex) in third.

 

Championship leader Esteve Rabat (Marc VDS Racing Team Kalex) qualified in fourth position. Fifth and sixth spots went to Jonas Folger (AGR Team Kalex) and Thomas Luthi (Interwetten Paddock Moto2 Suter) respectively.

Alex Rins (Estrella Galicia 0,0 Honda) set a new Silverstone pole lap record to grab pole position. Second spot went to Niccolo Antonelli (Junior Team GO&FUN Moto3 KTM) with Rins’ team mate Alex Marquez (Estrella Galicia 0,0 Honda)in third.

 

In fourth was Enea Bastiannini (Junior Team GO&FUN Moto3 KTM) with Brad Binder (Ambrogio Racing Mahindra) in fifth and previous race winner Alexis Masbou (Ongetta-Rivacold Honda)in sixth.

 

Championship leader Jack Miller (Red Bull KTM Ajo) qualified in eighth spot.

MotoGP

 

In front of a 138,000 crowd Dani Pedrosa (Repsol Honda) took the twentysixth MotoGP win of his career beating Jorge Lorenzo (Movistar Yamaha) into second with Valentino Rossi (Movistar Yamaha) third. Pedrosa took the lead from Lorenzo early in the race and looked in complete control until he crossed the finish line.

 

Championship leader and winner of the first ten races of the season, Marc Marquez (Repsol Honda) finished fourth after a fairing bashing battle with Andrea Iannone (Pramac Racing Ducati) early in the race and then a battle with Rossi for third place later in the race which Rossi won.

 

Iannone eventually finished fifth after a close battle with Andrea Dovizioso (Ducati Team) who finished sixth.

 

Top open class finisher was Aleix Espargaro (NGM Forward Racing Yamaha) in eighth place.

Moto2

 

Esteve Rabat (Marc VDS Tracing Team Kalex) took the lead from the start of the race and was never headed winning his fifth Moto2 race of the season. Second was Rabat’s team mate Mika Kallio with third going to former Moto3 World champion Sandro Cortese (Dynavolt Intact GP Kalex) who took his first ever Moto2 podium.

 

With the win Rabat extends his Championship lead over Kallio to 12 points.

 

Thomas Luthi (Interwetten Paddock Moto2 Suter) took fourth after holding off a lengthy challenge from fellow Swiss rider Dominique Aegerter (Technomag CarXpert Suter) who finished fifth ahead of a fast finishing Maverick Vinales (Paginas Amarillas HP 40 Kalex) in sixth.

Moto 3 

 

In his 133rd Grand Prix race appearance Alexis Masbou (Ongetta-Rivacold Honda) won his first ever Grand Prix race in a tight finish which saw the first five riders cross the finishing line within 0.201s.

 

Second place went to Enea Bastianini (Junior Team GO&FUN Moto3 KTM) with Danny Kent (Red Bull Husqvarna Ajo) third.

 

Pole sitter Alex Marquez (Estrella Galicia 0,0 Honda) finished fourth just ahead of Championship leader Jack Miller (Red Bull KTM Ajo) in fifth. This result extends Miller’s lead in the Championship to 23 point ahead of Marquez who takes over second spot from Efren Vazquez.

Marc Marquez (Repsol Honda) took his ninth pole of the season and is accompanied on the front row of the starting grid by two Ducatis with Andrea Dovizioso (Team Ducati) claiming second spot and Andrea Iannone (Pramac Racing Ducati) in third.

 

The leading Yamaha was Bradley Smith (Monster Yamaha Tech3) in fourth with Dani Pedrosa (Repsol Honda) in fifth. The Moviestar Yamaha duo of Jorge Lorenzo and Valentino Rossi qualifying sixth and seventh respsctively.

 

The top open class qualifier was Aleix Espargaro (NGM Forward Racing Yamaha) in thenth.

Esteve Rabat (Marc VDS Racing Team Kalex) took his seventh pole of the season with a Moto2 pole record time of 2’01.911 for the Brno track. Second spot went to Thomas Luthi (Interwetten Paddock Moto2 Suter) with Sandro Cortest (Dynavolt Intact GP Kalex) in third.

Rabat’s main challenger for the Championship, teammate Mika Kallio, qualified sixth after crashing, unhurt, in the final minutes of qualifying.

 

Maverick Vinales (Paginas Amarillas HP 40Kalex) who lies third in the Championship qualified a lowly seventeenth.

In a rain interrupted qualifying pole position went to Alex Marquez (Estrella Galicia 0,0 Honda) despite crashing during the session. Second place went to Isaac Vinales (Calvoi Team KTM) with Niccolo Antonelli (Junior Team GO & FUN Moto3 KTM) in third.

 

Championship leader Jack Miller (Red Bull KTM Ajo) qualified sixth with Championship second placed and Indianapolis winner Efren Vazquez (SaxoPrint-RTG Honda) finising in eighth after crashing late in the session.

It looked a bit like a Yamaha track, until…

Marc Marquez’s ( Repsol Honda)win was his tenth of the season and his tenth successive win making him the first MotoGP rider to achieve this feat since Mick Doohan in 1997 who also rode a Repsol Honda. It was also the one hundredth win for a Spanish rider in the MotoGP class and the five hundredth win for a Spanish rider in Grand Prix racing across all classes.

 

Marquez took the lead on the eleventh lap after both Lorenzo and Rossi ran wide on a bend and gradually built ip a comfortable lead to win from Jorge Lorenzo (Movistar Yamaha) in second and Valention Rossi (Movistar Yamaha) third.

 

Dani Pedrosa (Repsol Honda) finished fourth and the leading Ducati was Andrea Dovizioso (Ducati Team) who was seventh.

 

The top open class finisher was Scott Redding (GO&FUN Honda Gresini) in ninth.

Moto2

 

In a shortened 16 lap race which was restarted after a red flag caused by a multi rider crash on the fourth lap of the first race saw Mika Kallio (Marc VDS Racing Team Kalex) take the holeshot and lead all the way to the chequered flag.

 

Second place, after a race-long battle with Dominic Aegerter (Technomag CarXpert Suter) and Esteve Rabat (Marc VDS Racing Team Kalex) went to Maverick Vinales (Paginas Amarillas HP 40 Kalex) with Aegerter eventually claiming third.

 

Championship leader Esteve Rabat finished fourth resulting in his Championship lead to team mate Kallio now being reduced to 7 points.

Moto 3

 

In his 116th Grand Prix ride Efren Vazquez (SaxoPrint-RTG Honda) took his first ever Grand Prix win after a race long battle with a leading group that, at one stage was made up of 10 riders.

 

Second place went to Romano Fenati (SKY Racing Team VR46 KTM) who led onto the final straight but was overtaken by Vazquez just before the finishing line. In third place was Championship leader Jack Miller (Red Bull KTM Ajo) with Alexis Masbou (Ongetta-Rivacold Honda) finishing fourth after an incredible ride which saw him placed at the end of the field after a first lap incident.

 

Estrella Galicia 0,0 Honda team mates Alex Rins and Alex Marquez finished fifth and sixth respectively. Miller

 

Miller has now extended his Championship lead to 21 points from Efren Vazquez.

Marc Marquez (Repsol Honda) took out his eighth pole of the season. Second spot went to Andrea Dovizioso (Team Ducati), his best qualifying position since his pole in Japan in 2010 with Movistar Yamaha’s Jorge Lorenzo completing the front row of the starting grid.

 

Top open class qualifier was Aleix Espargaro (NGM Forward Racing Yamaha) in fourth. Valentino Rossi (Movistar Yamaha) finished fifth while Dani Pedrosa (Repsol Honda), who lies second in the Championship, qualified eighth.

An incident packed qualifying session saw many crashes but non of the riders involved suffered major injuries.

After crashing earlier in Free Practice 3 pole position went to Championship leader Jack Miller (Red Bull KTM Ajo), his sixth of the season, beating Efren Vazquez (SaxoPrint-RTG Honda) into second with Alex Marquez (Estrella Galicia 0,0 Honda) a close third. Only 0.081s. covered the top three qualifiers.

 

With Romano Fenati (SKY Racing Team VR46 KTM) qualifying fourth the top four riders in the Championship hold the top four starting positions on the starting grid.
